“The Wind In My Hair” was an event organized by Katayoun Bahrami and presented by Clarion Alley Mural Project, in collaboration with CCA Center for Art and Public Life, ARTogether, and Diaspora Arts Connection. It showcased the Iranian community and their allies in the Bay Area and beyond, standing in solidarity with Iranian women and calling for an end to the excessive violence against protesters in Iran. The protests deeply moved and shook us all—some were directly affected, while others stood in strong solidarity as allies. Together, we called on all communities to support human rights. The project featured new murals, live performances, protest voices, poetry, and santur improvisations in Clarion Alley, San Francisco.
