The Mirror, 2020

Ask the name of The Redeemer from mirrors!

My friend!

Don’t forget!

When you land on the moon,

engrave the date of the carnage-

of young flowers of this Earth-

on its sad, soft, wrinkled face.

In the shelter of my window,
I am attached to the sun.

Forough Farokhzad

The poem continues in a circular pattern, representing the ongoing determination women have for justice. The red cotton yarn is associated with violence, blood, war, strength, power, determination, as well as, passion, desire, and love.
